Our client, a leading STM society publisher, requires two Editorial Development Managers for China. You will be responsible for building strategic relationships with the scientific community in China to support their commissioning and product development objectives by identifying suitable target authors, guest editors and editorial board members across their portfolio of journals, books and conference proceedings series.
The Editorial Development Manager also works to increase the profile of the Society in China through one-to-one meetings with researchers, conducting publishing workshops, supporting social media and online (web) presence and organising other events (such as scientific workshops or symposia) as part of our regional growth strategy.
Skills & Experience:
- In-depth knowledge and experience in journal publishing and the STM industry.
- A strong understanding of the international research environment and knowledge of research and funding policies and mechanisms in China is highly desirable
- Experience working with senior-level positions in academic and government organisations
- Experience organising events and managing projects
- Ability to work effectively on cross-functional project teams and across the organisation
- Ability to network effectively and work independently
