Our client, a leading provider of tools and innovative communications services for academic researchers, research groups, institutions, publishers, societies and funders require a new Academic Outreach Executive.
We have successfully placed 2 out of the 3 roles available, so this is the final position in the new team.
You will be responsible for selling the client's award winning platform to universities, initially in the UK. You will use our CRM system to prioritise contacts and opportunities in your sales territory.
You will demonstrate the platform to potential customers via online meetings. Occasionally, for large, more complex sales it will be necessary to visit customers on campus. However, the work will be mostly office-based.
You will work closely with the Head of Sales and wider team to conduct outreach and close sales opportunities to meet quarterly sales targets.
We need someone with proven experience of developing new business in an inside-sales environment. Experience in the Higher Education market is useful, but we’re interested to hear from any talented sales professionals with B2B sales experience with software or subscription services background.
Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years’ business development experience, in technology, media, telecommunications or other services industry.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of an organisation.
- Ability to determine solutions with customers (consultative sales approach).
- Enthusiasm for and understanding of new media, metrics and technologies Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Full UK driving license.
