Marketing Manager, Commercial

Salary: £50,000 Basic

Our client, a leading healthcare publisher, requires a new Commercial Marketing Manager. This is a brand-new role in a fast-growing department. The primary focus of the position is to generate engagement and qualified leads across key target audiences to enable revenue growth.

Working closely with the Sales department, this includes the promotion of the company and their innovative solutions to potential and existing partners, particularly pharmaceutical organisations, looking to reach their growing audience of healthcare professionals.

Key Repsonsibitlies:

  • Ownership, development and execution of the marketing lead generation plan to achieve a set of KPIs including inbound lead volume, engagement and conversion rates
  • Management of promotional campaigns to engage potential partners through a variety of channels including email, social media, advertising and other channels as appropriate 
  • Working with the Content Marketing team to best utilise existing and new content appropriate to our target audiences
  • Responsibility for promotional collateral and templates at all funnel stages working with the design team to ensuring that communications across all channels are on-brand
  • Creation and ownership of a media partnership strategy
  • Work with the Digital and Data Innovation Manager to develop our understanding of the audience, engagement levels and the quality of data held
  • Monitoring of campaign performance including ROI, ensuring key feedback is passed to agreed stakeholders to assist future decision-making
  • Working with the Head of Marketing to recommend new strategies and ideas
  • Ownership of competitor analysis to assist with positioning
  • Understanding target audiences
  • Close collaboration with the Sales department particularly the Head of Sales
  • Line management of the Marketing Co-ordinator

Skills & Experience:

  • Educated to bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of B2B Marketing experience ideally in STM/Healthcare publishing
  • Significant knowledge and experience of digital marketing, particularly email and social media channels, and how to optimise
  • Excellent experience with marketing automation tools (e.g. Pardot, Eloqua or Marketo)
  • Proficient in CRM platforms
  • Experience of using web analytics e.g. Google Analytics
  • Superb English language written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent at building strong internal and external relationships
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail
  • Positive, adaptive and flexible attitude
  • Management experience desirable
