Senior Account Manager – Australia

Location: Australia, Home based

Our client is a global professional organisation serving the library market. They are currently hiring a new Senior Account Manager to sell their cloud-based software to the academic and public library sector across Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, manage and increase business in both the long and short term with major accounts and identify new target market opportunities.
  • Proactive account management, looking for up-sell / cross-sell opportunities in the target markets.
  • Working closely with Product Management and Marketing colleagues.
  • Keeping up to date with knowledge of the platform developments.
  • Supporting the Australia Country Plan through developing and maintaining, as appropriate, relationships with libraries/stakeholders
  • Monthly review meetings with key accounts.
  • Product demonstration support to the customer base – with an emphasis on the next-generation suite of products.
  • Supporting the RFI tender submission process
  • Represent the company at conferences, exhibitions, and seminars.

Skills & Experience

  • Sales Experience working with Library Technology, Publishing, or a similar STM field.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with internal colleagues and prospective customers
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to demonstrate an empathetic approach when discussing library customer requirements
  • Experience of CRM systems, such as Salesforce.
  • Bachelor’s degree in library sciences, or related field (desirable).
