UK Regional Support, Training & Marketing Representative

Our client, a leading cloud platform provider that allows reachers to store, collaborate and publisher their research, requires a new UK Regional Support, Training & Marketing Representative.

This is a hybrid support, training and strategic marketing position. It will be the first employee of a new UK based operation, supporting users in England primarily and secondarily internationally.

Successful candidates will establish relationships with key influencers, decision makers and product users in in higher education institutions in scientific research functions, scientific instruction, administration and IT.

We need an individual who enjoys working with customers in a variety of ways including, technical support, training, documentation, marketing and supporting sales efforts. This is a key role that will interface directly with their customers (laboratory professionals and lab science teaching professors) and to resolve problems, answer questions and conduct application training.

In addition, there will be marketing responsibilities including lead generation, pre-sales presentations, and communications. This is a home-based positing, operating in England around the London/Oxford area with frequent travel required.

Skills & Experience:

  • At least 5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and enterprise experience with scientific software to the academic & research markets.
  • Experience training, supporting enterprise SaaS based solutions pre- and post- sales.
  • Higher Education training/support/sales experience a plus.
  • Ability to develop a deep understanding of their products as well as the needs of science instruction at the university level & research data management in academic/government/corporate research labs.
  • Able to operate in a team environment and engage high-level decision makers.
  • Strong record of establishing relationships and maintaining operating metrics.
  • High level of enthusiasm.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; able to manage several projects simultaneously, function well in a fast-paced environment and coordinate effectively with other team members
  • Scientific Lab course experience / Science / Engineering degree a plus.
  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communications skills. Experience presenting products (in person and via online meetings).
  • Willingness for frequent travel and the occasional trip to the USA office.

Marketing Automation Manager

Our client, a leading academic publisher, requires a passionate and highly motivated Marketing Manager within marketing automation.

We are looking for a Marketing Cloud Automation Manager to support our clients global marketing teams by creating effective marketing automations that take customers through a journey. You will create meaningful marketing journeys to develop the customer funnel and provide a great experience for our customers when they interact with the company.

This role also supports the Marketing Systems Manager with training marketers and supporting users as well as creating and distributing reports to the global departments.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Managing automated marketing campaigns within Marketing Cloud using Automation Studio and/or Journey Builder. Ensuring segmentation, messaging, customer journey, and reporting are all functioning properly.
  • Supporting the wider Marketing departments with the creation and execution of email/automated marketing campaigns, managing pilots and tests and carrying out analysis to inform best practice.
  • Driving continuous improvement to processes, systems and templates that team members and the wider department use for data management, email and automated marketing.
  • Keeping up-to-date with Data Protection laws and industry best practice, trends and standards around email and automated marketing and ensure key information is shared appropriately.
  • Creating and maintaining email templates, using company branding guide and style requirements. Auditing marketing sends to ensure they meet guidelines
  • Working with peers within the management team for Marketing departments to deliver on annual objectives for the department.

Skills & Experience: 

  • Email marketing automation experience, preferably with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Exact Target)
  • Experience working with Automation Studio and Journey Builder. Experience with Predictive Intelligence a plus
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Used to delivering projects to schedule and achieving desired results, in liaison with the wider business
  • Good understanding of relevant legislation and industry best practice

Head of Campaign Marketing

Our client, a leading global STM Publishing based in London, requires a new Head of Campaign Marketing.

They are looking to hire a Head of Campaign Marketing to join our growing team in London. This role will have the responsibility for the development and execution of our author lifecycle marketing strategy to allow us to engage with researchers in a rewarding and useful manner.

This a great opportunity for a creative senior marketer that is excited by developing creative campaign solutions to achieve commercial goals. You will also have the responsibility to develop and shape their team as required.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Define the overall author campaign marketing strategy, customer journeys, marketing mix, investment recommendations and specific marketing plans
  • Work collaboratively with the Commercial Director and the Marketing Communications Manager to define the marketing strategy and plan that carries forward and communicates our key author brand attributes, and meets business and financial objectives.
  • Build a campaign execution team to implement the marketing plans.
  • Develop author lifecycle marketing plan to focus on reviewer to author and reader to author conversion points in addition to repeat authorship and colleague/departmental recommendation schemes.
  • Work with a cross-functional team to develop, test and refine the messaging strategy and content roadmap needed to support marketing efforts.
  • Develop connected and personalized author journeys to create an engaging and valued author experience.
  • Develop and maintain marketing plan measurement frameworks to ensure ongoing review and adjustment in alignment with marketing funnel KPI’s.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience creating, executing and leading marketing initiatives
  • Proven track record and ability to work closely with product and go-to-market teams developing business and marketing strategy to drive rapid growth.
  • Ability to understand consumer needs and motivations and develop marketing plans that prioritize key audience segments.
  • Strategic thinker and influencer with the ability to build creative marketing campaigns combined with the operational know-how to ensure excellence in execution.
  • Demonstrated success in messaging through traditional and new media channels and ability to measure marketing effectiveness and optimize plans globally.
  • Ability to lead teams, both directly and indirectly, with a strong balance between creative inspiration and strong data and analytical skills and capabilities.
  • Demonstrated track record of working in matrixed and collaborative environments.
