We’re seeking a passionate and entrepreneurial Sales Director with a proven track record in solution-based SaaS sales, particularly within the Pharma, Biotech, or Medical Device industries.

Our client is a leading global technology business that is creating market-leading, innovative tools in partnership with the community. Their mission is to create a trusted, open, and collaborative research ecosystem that accelerates global progress.

Your primary responsibility will be to drive new business growth while deepening relationships with existing clients. Success in this role requires a customer-centric mindset, strong sales instincts, and a genuine enthusiasm for technology-driven innovation.

As a hunter-seller, you’ll leverage your industry knowledge and sales expertise to identify new opportunities, present tailored solutions, and exceed revenue targets. Your work will directly align our advanced SaaS offerings with the evolving needs of the life sciences sector.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Take ownership of a key sales territory and lead growth initiatives for our expanding suite of products.
  • Gain deep expertise in the company’s corporate solutions and their applications in life sciences.
  • Communicate the value of our technologies from both technical and commercial perspectives.
  • Identify, engage, and convert new prospects by understanding their challenges and offering tailored SaaS solutions.
  • Navigate complex sales cycles, build relationships with key stakeholders, and guide opportunities through to closure.
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to consistently exceed revenue goals.
  • Manage and grow a healthy sales pipeline while collaborating with internal teams to support lead generation and market awareness.
  • Act as a strategic voice of the customer, sharing insights and priorities with our product team.

Skills & Experience: 

  • Several years of successful sales experience in the life sciences sector; SaaS experience is highly desirable.
  • A strong record of selling into biotech, pharma, healthcare, medical device, therapeutic, and research-related industries.
  • Expertise in developing and executing account strategies with measurable success.
  • Consistently achieved or exceeded six-figure annual sales targets.
  • Understanding of the technologies used within scientific and research enterprises.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, qualify, and close new business opportunities.
  • Comfortable managing quotas while actively contributing to pipeline development.
  • Proficient in CRM tools (Salesforce preferred)
  • Intellectually curious, tech-savvy, and quick to learn new systems.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and an excellent communicator (both written and verbal).
  • Self-motivated and professional, with a strong work ethic and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Skilled in identifying problems, proposing creative solutions, and acting decisively.
